Animal Persons
Moments away, perched on a branch,
He started to sing.
A seemingly perfect song,
He sang with intensity.
Endless music.
A wide range of notes,
Pleasing to the ear.
His first song over,
He takes a bow.
A brief silence.
The applause of the audience,
Then another song.
This one with a different style,
More fluctuation and variation than before.
Color.
The song nearing its end,
He prepares to leave.
Taking one final bow,
He takes to the sky.
