Hoop-love
In the beginning, God made the earth.
Then God made James Naismith,
and he made basketball.
One of the biggest sports in the world.
I thank Mr. Naismith for basketball.
He is the reason I am happy.
He made the sport I love so much.
But why do I love basketball?
First thing that comes to my mind is the gym.
the gym
the hoop
the early mornings
when I have to turn on the lights in the gym myself.
When I come in and see that shiny court
and the sun from outside, shining through the window,
then onto the court.
The second thing I see in the hoop.
When I see a basketball hoop,
all I want to do is shoot my basketball.
But, I have to focus,
focus my eye on the prize.
So I come in put my shoes on and start working on my game.
When I work out at the gym.
I put my headphones on and zone everyone out.
It’s time for me to work.
I put my phone on shuffle and put it into my pocket.
I get my my basketball
I’m ready to go.
