The Great Depression: Love
Like all the other girls, she was vulnerable
Opulence was the way to go
Very blind-sided when the nice guy came
Even with a smile that was as bright as one-thousand suns
It wasn’t until she met him, that the light was seen
So open-minded, there was no thought involved
And she went for the nice guy, both big and strong
Dancing together was fun for her
And maybe he just liked having a jubilant girl
Nothing would ever amount to their feelings for eachother
Gone with the wind, the butterflies stopped flutter
Even though, feelings were melting
Reality soon struck, the two were splitting
Over the course of several months
Uproars of fights became inevitable
She still felt it, and he was leaving
Poor poor girl didn’t know what hit her
Again, she met a world of depression
The love she had would never disappear, but
He was happy without her
