The Shell
Everyone has a point where things can no longer be handled
where they break apart,
where they lose control.
It is at this point where things become a blur
and time stands still.
The Shell of Emotions has peeled
away, leaving a vulnerable, fragile, but dangerous being.
It is jet black, with piercing red eyes.
The claws destroy everything, leaving
hatred and broken hearts to remain.
Some say the screams of its awakening
can still be heard today.
Wake Up.
Many things break this shell; hate, despair, but most certainly,
Time.
The shell can regrow, but only with perseverance
can control be gained,
and to have the protective shell
once more.
But what of the people hurt?
Could they forgive?
Could they not?
Could they ever?
This feeling, fear and regret.
The Shell of Emotions is back.
