He Didn't Mean a Lot of Things

He didn’t mean a lot of things
He didn’t mean it when he said that about her
He didn’t mean for his feelings to get out of control
He didn’t mean to lose himself
All of that was in the past
And now he was different
A new person.
He did mean it, every word
And the one thing he meant the most
Was when he said
“I miss you.”
