What do you call it when you like somebody?
A crush.
Crushes are superficial. You like the person solely because of their personality or their looks. You see what you want to see, but you never see who they really are.
But, what is it called when you like someone, but the 'like' goes way deeper?
You genuinely care about them
You know them
You'd willingly take time out of your day to listen to them
You’d do anything to help them
You miss them when they aren't with you
And you hate them when they are
You’re there when they need you,
Yet you know none of these feelings will be reciprocated.
It's called it the Friend Zone.
