Hot Glue
When you left,
I tried to glue my heart back together,
But all I got out of that
Was a bunch of burns.
And I learned that
You can't glue sand together.
The next day,
I threw the hot glue gun away,
It was useless to me anyway.
I poured my heart into a plastic bag
And tied it with a ribbon,
But the knot wouldn't hold,
It slipped and spilled my sandy heart onto the carpet.
I bet a hot glue gun could fix that...
