Rocks No. 2
I see through eyes unseen.
I observe, study and correct.
Patient as a tree but much more silent.
I talk with my lips, unheard.
I can breathe water. Yes, I can.
I can see through walls. Yes, I can.
Drill one, drill two, drill nine, drill fifty-two.
I can breathe air. Yes, I can.
Jingle jangle.. Crack. Thump scump.. Whack.
The rocks, they role around inside my brain.
But no! That is wrong, sir! For aren’t I myself a rock??
No, but you are as stubborn as one.
You take the appearance of a fellow rock,
For your brain has been cast into a sleep.
A sleep it is, but a restless one.
Jingly jangle.. crack. Thump scump.. whack.
I think something broke up there?
Not you! The shadow did this.
A shadow most unfriendly.
I observe, study and correct.
But never participate, not yet.
I can breathe water. Oh, yes I can
