What happens to a lost love?
Does it scream real loud--
like a baby when it wakes from sleep?
Or does it remain quiet--
like a silent weep?
Does it feel dirt cheap?
Or hurt inside--
hitting you real deep?
Maybe it just crumbles
like the leaves in fall.
Is it better to have never loved at all?
