To Tread On Fate
The path you walk is your own.
Tread lightly on stone laid by fate,
For you will fall to the path paved by men.
Fate crumbles away and into the darkness
You shall fall.
To the paved way that men laid down.
Though it is dark,
And you stumble and fall and trip,
You get back up.
Only to fall once again.
Do not be afraid as shadow looms around you
Twisting this way and that.
For shadow gives you light to find your way.
The only light you receive is that of your footfalls.
The only light you receive is that of the past,
Guiding you through the past
And into the future.
Tread lightly on the path paved by fate,
For underneath the stone of fate,
Lies the road that all must travel.
