A Tragic Creation
She waits,
for the friend to appear at her doorstep…
the friend that isn’t real.
She cries,
for the father who she lost to cancer…
she never knew her father.
She runs,
from the boyfriend that abuses her…
she was never good enough for any man.
She hurts,
just like her mother did every night…
her mother was never home.
She smiles,
at the pictures her sister drew of their family…
her sister drowned when they were young.
She prays,
just as any ethical Christian would do…
she had never stepped foot in a church.
She loves,
as many people as she can…
she has nobody to care for.
She hopes,
for a better fate…
something that will never come.
