A Love That Wouldn't Last
My mind's too confused
Of the words that aren't true.
Lies and dreams are mixed.
Can you repair it with a kiss?
My heart has been shattered too many times,
But mama always told me not to cry.
So, um, can we have a tiny secret affair
on the sunset-lover's bridge over there?
I'll lead you to my scarred heart.
I'll trust you with a glass of fragility.
Take care of it, or leave it anywhere,
I don't care, but please remember me...
Giving you a smile,
Wiping all your tears,
I'll be there for you,
Even when you're not here.
I'll give you my heart,
I'll only ask you your time,
So when the hourglass has run up,
You can still survive.
The pain , the misery,
And the tears I cry for me,
For again I lost my heart so fast,
To a love I know would never last.
But still I will take the risk,
Though my eyes are clouded with mist.
With my knowledge, my heart I did gamble.
And the word "forever" will just be a fable.
Like a love that would not last.
