A Walk with Grandma
The beautiful sun rested,
As the golden leaves fell
And as the winter’s wind suggested,
A cold autumn farewell.
Hand in hand we walked,
Your hand slipped from my own
Hour by hour we talked,
With a fading tone.
It was waiting,
For you needed rest
And I stood watching,
As you sat down for the best.
Your kind heart rested quietly,
For nature’s calming ways
Your sweet eyes relaxed peacefully,
For it was a beautiful day.
