"Daddy Issues"
I can't excuse myself with an inadequate explanation like
"I have daddy issues"
Yes, he has many, many issues, but he has passed
Them along to me, I have inherited them
They are no longer just daddy issues
They have become my issues
Problems for me to deal with
Non-grammatical errors for me to edit
Daddy issues?
My issues
Now, I'm walking in his shoes
Showing off some of his traits
Doing things I swore I'd never do or say
Those parts of me I've got to change
The rest of me can stay the same
I won't let my daddy issues
Botch up others' lives, make them beg for a tissue
I refuse to be like him
I refuse to let "daddy issues" win
