The 89th
The 89th division of the U.S army riding to the doors of death
Taking cover in the truck, hiding their bleak faces
The guns in their hands ready to be fired
Ten men to young to know what they are getting themselves into
One medic and nine soldiers
All in uniform
On the Rhine river at Oberwesal, Germany
Three men, one gun
The truck running
The men looking back like an eagle looking for its prey
Military uniforms
A guy with glasses
And the men with helmets on their heads
A scared straight-faced boy
The man looking back at the other men
The glasses are two big
Big nose with little pose
The truck still driving
