I Slept Happy
I slept happy
A smile on my face
Cappy beneath me in an awkward embrace
I slept with a song in my ears
Songs that soothed away the bass of fears
I was so happy
His voice in my ear was like accapella
Without accompaniment... it was beautiful
I couldn't stop laughing
He lightened my heart in a way none else could
Knowing I'm loved makes me feel so good
I'm so happy
It was like he was only a touch away
Instead of acres like every other day
I could hear him say I love you
I could say I love you too
But I was so sleepy
In bed, I still could not rest
I was hyper, high off of love at its best
I laughed until I ran out of laughter
I still had strength to smile a while after
Until two o'clock when I drifted to dreams
Curled up with a smile despite of my ripped seams
In the morning I awoke and the smile was still there
I slept so happy with nary a tear
