Crooked Smiles
Creaky windows,
And taps and knocks around my house,
They remind me of you.
The sweet and spicy smell of Chinese food,
And the hot sun on my shoulders,
How they bring your face to my mind. . .
Lonely nights,
And long hot showers,
Cast a shadow over my mind.
Our autumn smelling lotion,
And video games,
Remember the fun they handed us ?
That purple flannel,
And the stuffed lion from Rabbit's Fest,
Reminds me of how you're everything.
I laugh at the pain your absense brings.
I cry when I'm alone with our joyus memories.
But I always smile when you're on my mind.
Always.
