Breaking Bad Habits
You are my shameful habit
A lethal smoky addiction
Drawn to my clean lips
An instinctual desire to inhale
All your toxins at once
I want to burn you down to a
Glowing ember
And see the light gently fade
From that porcelain face
I will hold your wild taste hostage
In my mouth and let you slide down
And manifest in my lungs
Where you’ll cultivate and multiply
Like a chain of cancerous soldiers
Unwilling to falter
And when my mind is distrait and unaware
You’ll infiltrate
Killing the host who welcomed you
With open lips
