At The Edge
At the edge of a cliff,
Stands a great monster,
So tall, strong,
Yet nothing more than a subtly destructive murderer.
Although it never touches a soul,
It watches people take their own precious lives,
Gives them power to end it all,
So effortless.
It's been used,
So an acomplice, yes ?
Never stopping them from that fall,
Off that stool or even the cliff.
It's beauty radiates energy,
Energy to these broken souls.
So maybe not a monster at all ?
But a welcomer, to the quiet world of eternal sleep.
At the edge of a cliff,
Stands a friend,
So tall, strong,
Yet so much more than a plain, oversized tree.
