Deep-sea
Allow me to tell you, dear,
that the way your eyes gaze at the ocean
is the way I wish you would seep into my brown eyes.
That the way your fingers run through the sand
is the way I wish your hands would slide down my back.
That the way your arms plunge into the waves
is the way I wish your body would dive into me;
Slowly, yet demanding to be felt.
But the one thing I truly wish upon, my dear,
is to be the deep-sea you live for.
To become crystal water,
sand paper coloured,
warm rays of light.
To be the seashore you reside in
when the sky above you seems weary
and the land below you seems deranged.

Simply approaching the text, this was written when I had to say goodbye to someone who means the world to me. Someone who loves the ocean as much as I love them.
