Through the Eyes of an Angel
I failed him
I was supposed to protect him from the childish disease eating him alive
Instead, his soul vanished into the sky as I guided him to heaven
She lived until she was 99
If only I could have spared her one more year
I whispered in her daughter's ear…
“She will fly high in heaven my dear”
He deserved a saving grace…
A guardian angel much better than myself
I let him slip into the alaskan water
His ghost drifting up to heaven, shivering
I allowed her to see me in her dreams one night
She needed some type of hope that someone loved her
But she cowered down to the bottle of pills
She took the peaceful cloud up to heaven
That’s when it hit me
They all made it to heaven
All that matters is the destination
