Capture It With A Camera
Click.
One--
the clicking of heels and a camera’s eye;
the sound of the possessed gales racing by.
together, it’s a powerful symphony summoning
the fierce and beautiful autumn wind.
Click.
Two--
the scent of smog and lakewater strong;
a thousand strangers buried under it all.
fresh smells of fast food from the building next door.
really, who could ask for anything more?
Click.
Three--
the introverted sun hiding in his cozy bed of clouds
withholds his warmth, but occasionally darts out
to throw golden glitter on to the water below-
then goes back into hiding so none from Earth will know.
Click.
Four--
the taste of urban air, of cars and food and all things new.
in a large city, there are so many places to go, things to do.
if you capture it with a camera, if you lock it up tight
you can enjoy one memory for the rest of your life.

I wrote this for my English class. It's an observational poem about exploring the city and taking photos.
