True Angel
When He was happy
He placed in the sky
A thousand twinkling diamonds
And the lover reaches up, up, up
To grab these tiny jewels
And add to his collection
When He was angry
He plucked these little twinkling lights
From above
And swept the sky with a mask of dusk
And the true angel
Stands planted in the earth
Reaches up, up, up
To touch the velvet ink of night
For he knows
this is
endless
divine
perfection
