Smilin'
Edward Sharpe and
the Magnetic Zeroes.
Hearing the song that changed me
belted out of a modern messiah’s mouth.
“I want the whole damn,
to come dance with me”,
Shows how simple pleasures
mean so much if you just look.
Royal Oak Music Theater
was the spot.
The spot I will think of
when I hear any word
synonymous with joy.
To Dream for 40 days
To survive the Desert Song,
both were as priceless as the atmosphere
created by the smilin’ suns on the ceiling.
The adventure is over physically
but never will be spiritually.
The connection I have created
with all in attendance
will never leave me upset
or lonely again.
The photos and
memories can only be explained by one word;
Euphoric.
