Even as my arm bled so profusely
I could barely move it
I knew it wasn't enough
I needed more
More pain
To make this go
Away
I knew it wasn't over
And as I surround myself with happy children
Try to laugh
I cry inside
When she finally lets me hug her
I cry
I hug every little child I see
Ignoring the pain my arms feel
I try and forget
I can't

Away
