Heaven is Not a Place on Earth
Humanity strives to reach out to something to believe in or aspire to be,
Yet we fail to take note of who we are and why.
Neither heaven nor hell can become a place on earth,
As long as humanity holds the middle-ground.
Every light must cast a shadow,
And Every shadow must be cast by some light.
There must always be balance between the good and evil in our world,
And humanity sits on the fulcrum, keeping the balance.
People strive to become that of what lies on either side of the scale,
But without a fulcrum, no balance can be obtained.
We must stand strong as the medium,
And accept our responsibility.
Who can claim to know all that is good,
Without experiencing themselves the evils that exists?
Who can be considered truly evil,
Without any comparison to what is good?
Our judgement is not based on our understanding of only holiness.
It is based upon our knowledge between good and evil,
And our ability to understand the importance of each,
Along with the importance our ourselves.
