It’s scary
How easy it is to hide the scars
The pain
To put on a mask
And fake your way through a pointless day
A pointless life
It’s scary
That nobody will ever be the wiser
They’ll never know
They won’t see you as you spiral down
Into a pit of loneliness
And despair
It’s scary
How easy it is to lie
To both others and yourself
To say you’re fine
When you’re really not
It’s scary
That they believe you
And you believe yourself
