Don't focus on the scars; Focus on the smiles
Don't focus on the scars; Focus on the smiles
Don't focus on the scars
Focus on the smiles
Don't think about what you've done in the past
Look forward and think about what you will do in the future
Don't dwell on your mistakes
Learn and become stronger to get a second take
Each laugh, each giggle, each smile
Can help a person go on for another mile
The past will only bring you pain
So why think about it?
Don't focus on the scars
Think about the smiles
Don't think about all the tears you've cried
Think about all the times you were truly happy
Don't think about all the pain you went through
Think about how much you grew
We are human
Meaning we make mistakes
No one is truly perfect
No one is truly fake
Don't be ashamed of who you are
Be yourself no one else
Don't be afraid to make mistakes
You always have a second take
Don't assume you're useless
When in reality you are one of a kind
You're loved
People do care
You're never alone
There's always someone there
Don't think you're weak
When you're actually unique
Don't think you're ugly
When you're Beautiful in you're own way
Don't believe the words of a demon
When they are just trying to hurt you
So don't focus on the scars; Focus on the smiles

I was inspired by my amazing boyfriend who gave me the idea of createing this poem. I did have a little help from my friends Mackenzie and Kaleb.
