Haunted
You argued about everything
even when it wasn't anything
Both, extremely stubborn,
but were meant lovers
You clung to every word
How hard you fell seemed absurd
Got caught up in his crooked smile
while he lied in the meanwhile
You can't help but see the good
in the boy who is misunderstood
You gave him all your effort
showing him you were better
You defend him against everyone,
but it turns out you weren't the only one
He hugs her longer
He makes her stronger
He gazes into her eyes
ignoring all your cries
He goes on with his life
as he makes her his wife
You sit there and ponder
"Did I do wrong?" you wonder
But maybe that's just how it is,
You were never meant to be his
