Would You?
Would you give your last breath to a man you didn't know?
Would you let in a woman who had nowhere to go?
Would you give away your lunch to a child with nary a stomach?
Would you hold the door for an elder whose sight they lack?
I ain't quite sure about what you'd do
But I'd try my hardest to help these few.
Would you donate your kidney to a complete stranger?
Would you sacrifice yourself if you knew you could help her?
Would you give a man your coat if he had none?
Would you freeze to death just to make sure he had one?
Would you throw yourself in front of a child?
Would you take that bullet so the young 'un can survive?
I ain't quite sure about what you'd do
But I'd try my hardest to help these few.
Would you dive into the ocean to help the drowning boy?
Would you save the girl from the wolves oh so coy?
Would you die for your country, for the people you don't know?
Would you do it just to give them freedom and a place to call home?
Would you save the starving Arabian child if it meant you would die?
Would you rescue the helpless, or just stand by?
I ain't quite sure about what you'd do
But I'd try my hardest to help these few.
