Forever Lost
I look up to the skies,
The memories of my past
Haunting my every being.
Carrying me to a place
Within my mind,
I see the dormant future
That awaits me.
I'm a half-blood:
Partly hopeless,
Partly gone.
When did I
Discard the happiness
Of simplicity at best?
When did I declare
Myself strong enough
To bare a life
That is bristled,
Unable to bend
And sway in the wind?
I was a child,
Filled with condescension.
I'm now lost within a wilderness
That no mortal should ever go.
I'm forever lost
Within the wilderness
Of my crazed mind.
