His Own Kind of Superman
Save me from hurt,
love me always,
ignore yourself.
Girls always want nothing less
than Superman himself;
the one who has the powers,
the one who could save the day,
the one undeniably attractive,
yet undeniably an a**.
But what about
my Clark Kent,
invisible to the crowd,
but shines just for me?
Maybe his powers are a bust,
and his looks aren't as fair,
but his heart is golden.
The way his eyes sparkle with mischeif
The way his laugh always exists
The way his mannerisms are like a little boy
but he knows when to grow up.
My Clark Kent,
his hair unruly,
and his tie messed up,
but nonetheless mine...
and I'm happy with my choice.
I don't need a Superman,
all I need is him.
