So, I didn't think about you today.
I didn't relish in
our memories,
I didn't immerse myself in
our past,
I didn't think about
our hugs,
I didn't long for
our kisses,
It was crazy because
Until I came across one thing that reminded me of everything,
up until that moment
I didn't think about you today.

This piece was inspired by a past relationship that ended. For a few months, I was still painfully reminded of our time together, but eventually I wasn't. This poem is titled progress because the person was not as recurring in my memory as he once was.
