Fate from the Voice
I ask you to picture
The expression of horror evident
As the world unwillingly listens
The very earth itself
Wrought with ghastly features
Making the planet grimace
But why?
Cars topple over and traffic stops
When cracks race through the roads and bridges collapse
Chunks of brick falling like crumbs off a cookie
A sea of lights and a symphony of honks in the dust
Tall buildings droop over with sad stretched structures
The Leaning Tower of Pisa now toppled
But WHY?
Magma bubbles angrily to the surface
Pooling into glowing pockets of the ground
The sea stirs with slapping waves and white froth
Evidence of agitation shaking the ships
The sky trembles with gray fear
As it's tears pour liberally to the ground
All the animals and wonderfully wild creatures
Scamper to find shelter though it can't be found
The trees, grass, and sand blown away
By the howling wind that sobs
But why, OH WHY?
I shall tell you why
There is danger that must be stopped
And this image surely the future
So beware of this event
If my teacher in class shall force
The deadly reverberating voice
Not angelic but a combination of
The crow's caw and the cat's hiss
To resound the end of this world
