She’s as stubborn as mule
she gets that from her mother
often times there’s no seeing eye to eye with her,

she’s the strongest person I know
breaking down but building back up
before anyone can realize she’s at battle;

putting on a brave face knowing
that yet again, she’ll have to
dodge the punches another day.

us three girls are her pride and joy
she would do anything for us
and doesn’t want anything in return

I tell her she’s the strongest person I know
she tells me “I’m not that strong.”

But I’m stubborn like my mother
and I call her my hero.
