It hurts, it really hurts-
Watching a happy family
The seeds of envy planted accidentally
Making the soul turn green
With stems untamable inside a heart
A crying sky and a missing presence
On the darkening speckled brick
The twisted tendrils all tangled
Strangling from within
Make that heart splinter
In the pain of silence
Why does it hurt like this?
When the skies clear
A thought left in the air of
“I miss you”
