The Hope of the People
One day, there was a boy
He was chubby and fat
It’s quite unfortunate, he didn’t have a dad
Well, he still went around life
He went to school, got a job, and did likewise
But at the end he realized
He couldn’t take anymore
So he reached in the drawer and took a knife
He thought and thought if he should stab himself
But at the end, he decided to make a sandwich
He took some bread and put it in the toaster
As he ate, he thought he could become an actor
Sadly, the dreams perished away
His mind had just went astray
His stomach grumbled and his mind roamed
The body split itself and he could no longer think
He wanted to eat, but at the same time
He wanted to be great
So then he thought
That he could become
A famous baker
He could eat and be famous
He didn’t know where to start
But he practiced anyway
He became a master chef
He baked for the neighborhood
And grilled for himself
He became famous in town
It grew and grew
‘Till he was publically famous
One day, though,
he became so stressed
And he said, “Bake this, bake that,
screw this!”
He walked away and left everything
Sometimes it’s good enough to be mediocre.
There once was a man
Who owned a van
He drove quite fast
And he always had a blast
One day he thought he could race
So he went to the place
He would drive
His happiness would thrive
One day he would crash
People would call him trash
So he went home
And got on the phone
He said”I quit!”
And lied around on bed
His dream was over
Because of one failure
Am I good at anything?
One day I decided to take a look
And I realized…
That I just ain’t good
Some people can run
And they think it’s pretty fun
Some people are smart
But my brain is just a thick fart
People have things going on
But for me, that’s all gone
I will go and try to find
The thing that gives me a mind
Maybe it’s writing
Perhaps it’s fighting
No, wait, I tried that
I ain’t too strong
And I’m almost always wrong
Hard work and determination
Should get me through life
At least that’s I’ve been told
It’s all a lie
What an abomination
Life ain’t fair
It’s very rare
To be successful
Unless you try
And you need a bit of luck
So you don’t end up a schmuck
There’s always hope, though
That’s what I’ve been told
I have to get up and go
To find what I’m good at
I should be ready to accept failure
Because as long as I try
Everything is fine
