Crayons
We are crayons.
I am RoseArt to your Crayola.
My rainbow is shorter than yours;
Your shades are darker.
My blood red is dull
to your scarlet.
My orange is plain
to your mango.
My lemon is bitter
to your sweet banana.
My cactus is prickly
to your guacamole.
My navy blue is shallow
to your royal blue.
My violet is unoriginal
to your lavender.
But when the child
rips open my package
in delight,
I am perfect.

But you and Leslie like to hold hands and jump off of cliffs together into the great unknown. You two have a good relationship. I don’t personally know what that’s like, but I am given to understand it means you’re gonna land on your feet.

- R.S.
