resonations
i know that nothing is infinite, but in that moment, everything was.
i can see the ghosts of the fireworks when i close my eyes, much like the thought of you
eternally resonates in my mind.
the beacon lit up the whole sky and i am almost certain that you saw or at least felt it.
feel me.
touch me.
hear me.
and, if nothing else...
stay with me.
stay with me until
we fly like sparks away from these strange places
and create a fire of our own,
burning away everything that poured icy water on our heads.
on your fantastic dreams.
i cannot promise to protect you from all of the demons out to get you.
i cannot promise to protect you from every rainstorm.
because dear, i am a poor excuse for an umbrella,
and my sword has been broken.
but i can promise you one thing, if nothing else-
i will try my damn best.
because we live, and we die, like fireworks.
our legacies lie in the embers and smoke we leave behind.
i need your light.
your short, brilliant, colourful light.
to guide me through this labyrinth.
in that moment, i know why everything was infinite.
because you, my love, are infinite.
and i am so stupidly, incredibly happy
to be the water that you are reflected in.
you resonate forever, and i thank you with every fiber of my soul.
