Dear Diary
Her voice is thin printed words in black ink
That is smashed against a blank colorless page
In a white bound journal with a single word written on the front;
Reflect
Her bitter emotions are tear drops
That have bled blue all over her entries
And always reside on top of one word
Okay
Her aggravation is sparked by the tasteless words of her peers
They cause her to write entries that are receptive
Consisting of one word written in sloppy cursive
Thump
Her lack of love is drawn in heart beats
Big elongated lines that rise and fall like mountains
That are always sketched next to the solitary word
Breathe
Her thin time is expressed in numbers
Like the ones that rest on the face of a clock
All that is below these numbers is a somber
Tick-tock
Her image is a mirror she drew on her tenth entry
It is big with shadowed lilies and brass circles
But it is empty, except for a lone blacken word that says
Invisible
Her hope is a heart
That is caged in with heavy pencil marks and cracked desires
That speaks two words
Stay Strong…
