Eventually
The school called you today,
they told you how I’m failing in almost all my classes.
You should probably have a talk with me
about going down the wrong path
You will, eventually
I sneaked in through the back door last night
You were still wide awake and stared
at me blankly,
I silently stumbled to my room
leaving a trail of smoke under your nose
all night I waited for you to scold me
I’m sure you will,
eventually
It has been weeks now.
I know you can see me in the kitchen
pouring my drink,
pouring my life
away just like you
If only you would just tell me to stop
I will stop
Eventually
