C'mon
I tumbled down her rabbit hole.
Her second home,
a tucked-away place that she decided
to make her own
after an aimless walk
through the woods
alone.
Everything was falling down.
I heard the sound,
one of shattered stars that resonated
all around
as I continued to drop
towards the fast-approaching
ground.
Her voice drifted into my ear:
“My darling dear,
though you’ve followed me down,
I do fear
you’ll leave once the morning
finds us
here.
But still I hope you do love me
enough to be
content with this life
or really any;
I like to believe
in all the possibilities.”
