&quot;I may not know who I was born to be, but I know who I am.&quot; <br /> (That&#039;s an original quote I&#039;m using in my book)

Please Wait

I still recall the sound of the rain,
Lit through the window at 12: 58
The words that you whispered for just me to know,
You told me you loved me, so why are you going?
Wait.
Please wait.

I still recall the look on your face,
The day that you told me you found out too late
Or the sound of your heart that 29th,
It jumped through your shirt; I can still feel your arms.
Wait.
Please wait.

I still recall now, the sound of your voice
That day you told me it wasn’t your choice
Cancer don’t discriminate, or care if you’re just 18
I thought we’d always be a team.
Wait.
Just please wait.

So now they tell me, don’t get in too deep
But I know I’ll love you ‘till you sleep
And when you’ve taken your last breath
I know I’ll wish it was me instead
I guess…it’s too late for you to wait.

I found out that my lifelong friend friend, and newly found love has cancer, and he's going to die. I needed to be out with my sorrow, so this is how i cope.

Every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The bad things don&#039;t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don&#039;t necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant.

You are very talented! I can tell that this comes from your heart. . . I don't know if you have experienced a loved one dying of cancer - it hurts, a lot - but you portrayed perfectly the emotional pain and the sorrow of losing a loved one. Kudos, way better than I could do.
