One clear cold night ago
The stars were bright and twinkling aglow

The sky had closed its eyes

and all that could be heard was the moons lonely cries
   The sun had whispered goodnight
         And taken away it’s light
The stars peeked out of the thick black curtain
As timid as mice and dreadfully uncertain
To join the moon in her tears of the night
The planets added some of their light
                                        As they joined the scene
Upon heavy clouds they would lean
And all would look up to marvel and adore
How the sun loved the moon so much
he died every night to give her something to live for
