dehydrated MAG
my mom told me i needed water
said i looked pale, like i would crumble
under one touch. she thought
water
was what i needed.
but it cannot fix two-month-old
burn marks where you stroked my
skin with your midnight wildfire
and thought i liked how it felt.
water cannot fix how i felt
after i realized
i could’ve said no.
would’ve said no,
if i hadn’t been so torn apart
so dehydrated of love,
thinking you would fill me up again
when in reality the glass
has never been more
vacant.
