Lovers are Lovers are Lovers
Can you truly love someone you've never met?
Is it possible to ache for someone who's never touched you?
Does love from a distance really ever last?
Can you really call someone who can only reach for you for so far a friend?
I think you can.
I think it's possible.
I think it can last.
I think that's friendship.
You see, as lovely as it would be to meet with them face to face, sometimes you can't.
Sometimes there are obstacles in your way like fate and bad timing.
Maybe you were never meant to cross paths.
But maybe you were meant to meet.
Meet as in become attached to one another without being with one another.
Meet as in spend the whole day together but not actually together.
Meet as in become the other's daily routine.
You don't have to be two feet away from someone to know them.
You can be as far as the other side of the world from each other and know them better than their own family does.
What I'm trying to say is that love, no matter what form of love it may be,
platonic, mutual, unrequited, distanced,
love is love.
friendship is friendship.
and whether you meet them face to face or over a computer screen or through a text meassage,
what the two of you have is no different than what that couple across the street has
or what those two best friends laughing together have
or what that pretty young girl staring at that boy has (or vice versa)
what the two of you,
the two of us,
has is beautiful.
No questions asked.
