Two Beautiful Eyes
They are the only ones that distort my beauty. And I am the only one that complements theirs. Two dark olive green eyes with speckles of brown and piercing pupils. Two amongst the eight in my house. Two hazy eyes to trick me. I can see through them clearly, but only with glasses.
When you meet them, they sparkle with kindness. They send signals to my brain that seem different than everyone elses. Racing back and forth, they search for something as beautiful as them and their sight lands on a subject. This is their endeavor.
Let one become blinded, the other like the light in a lighthouse, guiding the boat back to shore. Search, search, search they do as I feel lost. They fixate.
When struggling to forget the past, they are the ones that help me look forward. When there is nothing good to think about. Two beautiful eyes helping my thoughts wander about. Two who look and definitely don’t forget. Two whose sole reason is for me to see.
