_Much_
There isn’t much light here
Not enough to counteract the dark.
Only pinpricks in the blackness
But if I focus on those pinpricks
I can pretend that they’re enough.
There isn’t much good here
Not enough to counteract the bad
Only bursts of laughter in the sadness
But if I cling to those bursts
I can block out the rest.
And there isn’t much hope here
Not enough to counteract the loss
Only small flickers amid the dismay
But if I can catch them
If I can just happen to see them
When they decide to show their face
I know that it will be okay
