Poker Face
There is fire in his presence
And darkness in his eyes
There is anxiety in the air
And brokenness in his lies
He doesn’t know
Want
Care
To live inside the past
Best to drown in the
Screams and
Those meaningless gasps
Because today they feed him glory
A place to belong
Even if those who love him
Are blind to what is wrong
Because today he is someone
And for now that’s enough
At least until someone else
Finally calls his bluff
