The Ring
His eyes were as blue as the sea
His skin was bronze without a scar
His hair was curled and the color of bleach
His body with thick and lined with deep dark muscles
He was the wind the picked up her heart
that beat with eternal love
He was the gem in her sky
the one that shone even into the night
However he was ungrateful
He yearned for more passion
to be more physical
and they girl would not cross that boundary
For she wore a promise on her finger
To God
To everyone
To herself
She could not grant his desires
so he selfishly walked away,
spit on their so called ‘love,’
Pocketed her heart,
and kissed their love away
With a goodbye that died and dug its own grave
He left her with salted cheeks,
a broken heart,
and good bye that cut her deep
She all she had to say
as she spun her precious ring
and watched as her Romeo trotted farther and farther away was;
‘Please, don’t go.’
